“No colored barber shall serve as a barber to white women or girls.”

This law was passed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1927. It was passed for fear of getting a bad haircut by a black person. Also because they thought that people could only cut in their own texture of hair (it was a matter of skill). I also think it could be to prevent violence because people might get into offensiveconversations, like interacial conversations and genetical conversations. I think that this is a quite stupid law because black people are as good as anyone at doing anything. It makes me feel bad for everyone who have to be treated so badly.

WEDDING STORY part 3

My parents said that they loved when they got out of the church and is snowed very thinly but with lots of big snowflakes or chunks. The first dance they loved too. Their favorite moment of the day was when it was finally over. Their worst moment of the day was not reading the fine print on the contract (this on is a joke). The real worst moment of the day was when they played the songs that they had banned, worst yet… people actually dancing to them. My mom would like go get a honeymoon because she never got a honeymoon. My dad said he wanted to buy my mom a bigger ring, but my mom says it’s okay; he could have gotten a bigger diamond. (HEHE) That day meant everything to my dad. I think this marriage could have gone a bit better, but they said it was the best day of their life; I’m not going to argue with that. I liked the staying up late part… but I am one of those people who need significantly more sleep than others. I would’ve made sure the cake was good by making the maker make an extra slice and give it to one lucky person to taste the cake to tell me if it is good, but not tell me how it tastes, I would also buy  my wife a bigger ring so that she doesn’t complain that it’s too small. My wedding would be like this one not too big, but I will learn from my parent’s mistakes to make it a little better.

This is where and when I would like to get a marriage party, and i would like to get married in this church in niagara falls.(I think this is canada day)

WEDDING STORIE part 2

My mom wore a full length white marriage dress, with no Vail so she did not have any trouble to walk with 3 kids holding the dress like Princess Diana, with high heels the same color as her dress(then again maybe she did have trouble to walk as she is not usually wearing high heels). My dad wore a full tuxedo, black in color, with black shoes and with a gray tie. My parents wore the usual western dress with no special colors. They had no flower boys or girls. The best man was my uncle Marcel he was wearing the same thing as my dad, the maid of honor was my aunt Susie. There was wedding music at the church, like most western marriages, there used to be a person who used to play the giant organ at the back but now the organ broke and now they can only play recordings. There was a dance, everybody at the dance… danced. The first dance was at the party. The first song was a jive and the rest was all sorts of music (It could probably have included TNT). There was a big orange cake Covered with white icing, unfortunately they forgot to cut it together on the day. They were actually happy they did not cut it because they cut it the next night and it did not taste good (thank goodness they did not cut it at the dance). There was a wine and cheese at the dance plus more snacks further along the night. The marriage ceremony lasted 1 hour. The party lasted about 11 hours, people has so much fun that no-one wanted to leave. The maid of honor and best man were ring bearers. We followed the tradition of the father bringing the bride to the groom. My grandfather was named Laurent which is like Laurence in English. At the church there were children, such as my cousins Pascal and Alexandre.

WEDDING STORY (Intro)

I am not very good at keeping track of marriages, neither is my family. I will use my parent's wedding.

My parents got married; my mom is called Brigitte and my dad Guy. They knew each other for 5 years. They got married on the 26th of December 1987. Friends, family went to the wedding with about 250 people in a big church and at the dinner and party. It was a priest who married them at sacre-coeur church, this church isvery high inside and it has 2 floors!! Well… 1 1/2. They got married in sturgeon falls Canada, they chose this place because it is their hometown and they live there.

My name yaw

My name is Joseph. Joseph Is a name originally hebrew, in the bible or in jesus's time many bible related people called Joseph including the father of jesus St-Joseph. My name was given to me in all french accents because I am french canadian along with the rest of my family.

The people who chose my name were my parents, they had alot of trouble finding a name for me, they even made a joke to my grandfather Laurent, that they were going to name me after him, but they chose the name Joseph. They chose this name because my mom really liked the name and it was my great grandfather's name on my moms side.

In general  I love my name. Why? Because its MY name no one can say that they changed MY name, I also like it because my parents chose it. For any of the children I MIGHT get I dont know what I would call him. I would go with how the baby looks and what my (possible) wife likes.

Family traditions

In my family we celebrate all catholic ceremonies and holidays but we also celebrate all of the other celebrations going on in canada. For christmas we often eat meat pie, pie, turkey and many other meals. We celebrate new year in a smaller way but we still do.

As family my grandma makes a big dinner for chrismas and my other grandma for easter their all just gigantic meals we wake up the next morning moaning of being so full and lack of sleep but its always worth the price. We celebrate Canada day with fireworks and chrismas in july which ginve us something to do in the summer.
In summer me and my dad go fishing at least every 3 days which is alot of fishing and a lot of fish, actually so much fish that we share it with the rest of the family. The day ends with a big fish fry.

Around my city, food is a big thing but not as big as in china. Sport is Huge around my city we play Ice Hockey, Soccer, Football, Baseball, Ball Hockey, Diving, Fishing, Swimming and so many other sports to outnumber the ammount of known digits in PI.

My family is very sporty and very healthy :) :) :)
